Die Stadthalle stülpt der Szene Wien einen neuen Vorstand drüber:

Mit Juli 2008 soll Josef Sopper (V.Ö.M., Planet Music, Donauinsel, Gasometer und Kultur-Plakat-GmbH) die Szene Wien übernehmen. Dies ohne dass dem bestehenden Team um Betriebsleiterin Gina Salis-Soglio vorher seitens des Betreibers der Szene Wien, der Wiener Stadthalle, eine Kritik an der bestehenden Arbeit übermittelt wurde oder aber allfällige geänderte Voraussetzungen derselbigen kommunziert.

Folgerichtig gibt es eine Petition, um die Szene Wien vor der Übernahme zu retten. Wir sind dabei. War immer ein gutes Zuhause, die Szene. Edit: Mehr Info gibt's hier.
